Cobalt’s product had grown faster than its interface. Four teams shipped four shades of blue, three button heights, and two disagreeing date pickers.

Approach

We audited every screen, reduced the interface to a token system of 40 decisions, and documented each component with its reasoning — not just its usage. The system ships as code, not as a PDF.

Outcome

New feature screens now assemble in days instead of weeks, and the design team reviews intent rather than pixels.
